In our next “double session” day, Ann and I continued on our path around the room. We cleaned the shelves of a free-standing bookcase, placed in recycling some old papers, and better stored for later sorting several boxes of family photos. We placed together some old machinery for viewing the photos, which had been scattered around other parts of the basement.
We cleared and better organized other parts of the room. Her stepson Justin and his wife Alyssa came over to take away some of his things, stored while they lived across the country.
When we were done, over glasses of wine, Ann said she felt that “a breath of fresh air had entered her spirit.”
